Summary:
We need a strong Sr. Dev DBA who knows MSSQL/SSIS well but also embraces an effort to move away from an ETL-centric development into a SOA/service bus solution. Strong culture fit is critical, but this should not diminish the need for a strong technical background.
Responsibilities:
- Configuration and maintenance of MSSQL databases
- Deployment and management of SSIS and SSRS solutions
- Participate in code reviews to ensure best practices are followed
- Work with Enterprise Architect and Technical Leads to establish database coding standards
- Work with Configuration Manager to manage and streamline environments
- Work with Scrum Masters to provide feedback on current development efforts
- Assist in troubleshooting
Key Technical Proficiencies:
- MSSQL Server 2000 and up
- SSIS
- SSRS
- Replication
- Tuning
- Configuration
- SQL/T-SQL best practices
Desired Experience:
- Windows Server administration
- Active Directory
- NoSQL exposure (namely RavenDB) a definite plus but not required
Other Skills:
- Familiarity with Scrum and Agile methodologies
- Out-of-the-box thinker
- Excellent communication ability, including documentation
- Should be a self-starter, highly motivated and energetic and perform at a senior level
