Job Summary:
This role will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the company’s multiple Oracle databases, Windows and Linux servers. This position ensures the integrity and security of the database and the user accessibility.
Essential Job Functions:
- Install and/or upgrade new and existing databases
- Install and/or upgrade new and existing business intelligence (BI) systems
- Assign and/or maintain user access
- Support additional Oracle products such as BI systems and Golden Gate
- Provide daily administration and performance monitoring of database related systems
- Ensure all databases are efficiently tuned and optimized in order to enhance database performance
- Implement, clone and maintain Oracle Financial Databases, including applying patches and carrying out upgrades to both the database and application tier
- Ensure reliable database backups via recovery manager (RMAN)
- Check the integrity of the backups by carrying out regular restores
- Develop interfaces between the Oracle Financials R12 system and other company software
- Maintain and support the Unix and Linux servers
- Install third party software
- Responsible for supervising and training junior staff members
- Maintain flexible work schedule including evening, weekends, holidays and on-call status
- Complete all required company trainings and compliance courses as assigned
- Adhere to company standards and maintain compliance with all policies and procedures
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field
Experience:
- A minimum three (3) years of experience in the database administration field required
- No supervisory experience required
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position spends the majority of the time (50% or more) achieving organization objectives, often through the coordinate achievements of subordinate staff.
- A portion of the time may be spent performing individual tasks related similar to those performed by direct reports, but primary duties are supervisory or organizational-goal related.

- Recovery manager (RMAN)
- Oracle 11g and 12c, Weblogic
- Production Oracle RAC 12c+ preferably under automatic storage management (ASM) control
- Procedural Language/Structured Query Language (PL/SQL), Forms and Reports
- Linux scripting
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to interpret and create policies, procedures and manuals
- Excellent customer service skills
