This role requires knowledge of ITIL service and asset management processes, strong troubleshooting skills to manage and improve an existing installation, and communication skills to work directly with clients and end users to ascertain requirements and develop appropriate solutions. The consultant will work both independently and as part of a team, depending on day-to-day project needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain existing IBM Control Desk, BigFix and TADDM deployment and deploy additional modules, such as problem management, change management, OS deployment and mobile device management
  • Manage and improve system performance for both on premise and cloud systems
  • Resolve asset reconciliation issues and develop long-term solutions to reduce manual intervention
  • Work directly with clients to resolve issues in existing system, ranging from configuration enhancements to outage resolution and architectural changes as needed
  • Develop reports using BIRT and SQL
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and end users to develop systems that achieve client requirements

Job Description:

  • Service desk processes, including SR, incident, problem and change management
  • Asset management processes, including procurement, deployment, maintenance and disposal
  • IBM Control Desk configuration using automation scripts, workflow, and related ICD utilities
  • Asset provisioning, deployment, and management via BigFix
  • Asset and dependency discovery via TADDM
  • BIRT reporting of asset and service management processes
