The Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for aggregating financial and portfolio management data from multiple sources in an efficient data warehouse and designing reporting solutions for the Technology department. This includes automation of manual processes to develop annual budget, monthly forecasts, monthly reporting packages, variance analysis, dashboard reporting, resource management, demand management and ad hoc analysis to provide decision support for leadership team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with SAP and PMM (Clarity) a plus
  • Creation of new financial and project metrics and scorecards through collecting, analyzing data and identifying trends
  • Advanced skills and experience in MS Office Suite, including demonstrated use of Excel in a professional environment (use of pivot tables, vLookup function, and other Excel functions and modeling tools)
  • Knowledge of financial, demand and resource capacity planning (portfolio management) focusing on budgeting, planning, forecasting and analysis
  • Sufficient technical skills to monitor and challenge the deliverables
  • Knowledge in project management methodology
  • Working knowledge in the use of BI user reporting and analysis tools including Tableau, Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Analysis Services
  • Working knowledge in source system analysis and data quality analysis
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, terminology and architecture
  • Working knowledge of an agile environment including creating of automated build, testing, integration and data refresh processes
  • Train and support users on BI tools
  • Experience working with source control
  • Experience with Data Warehouse ETL development tools, ETL performance optimization techniques
  • Experience with BI user reporting and analysis tools and the overall user experience
  • Experience working in a Data Warehouse Agile development environment
Basic Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in Information Technology with 3+ years in Business Intelligence
  • Expert in developing and deploying reports in PowerBI, Excel, or similar visualization tools (PowerBI is a plus)
  • Experience with financial data and systems
  • Build queries and scripts for importing, exporting, analyzing, mapping and converting data from source systems
  • Develop and maintain a variety of report types including tabular, drill down, matrix and charts
  • Strong relational database and SQL Query writing skills
  • Understanding of BI design principals and database design
  • Test and validate reports to insure data accuracy and quality
  • Ensure access to business metadata from within the OLAP/BI tool (Excel/PowerBI)
  • Work closely with multiple teams to understand, document and implement report requirements
  • Analytical skills to analyze data, technical skills to manipulate data through formulas, functions and coded procedures, plus technical skills to access and extract data into different formats with impeccable attention to detail
  • Fast learner, adaptable to work in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong willingness and aptitude for learning new and analytical approaches
  • Must be self-directed and highly inquisitive with solid analytical/problem solving skills and experience working with data; ability to think creatively and be a thoughtful leader
