Main Responsibilities:

  • Enterprise Information Management (EIM)
  • Ad-hoc SQL Development
  • Perform ad-hoc data analysis as needed
  • Extract, Transform & Load (ETL) and Data Integration
  • Participate in solutioning, design and development as needed
  • Including ad-hoc requests
  • Translate source-to-target specifications in to ETL designs and modify as needed
  • Collaborate with data modelers to ensure data models are feasible from an ETL perspective
  • Manage data integration processes (e.g. feeds to 3rd parties)
  • Build process schedules and orchestration
  • Environment administration
  • Ongoing maintenance
  • Management of users, roles, permissions, etc.
  • Performance tuning
  • Monitoring & defect resolution
  • T-SQL (a.k.a “SQL-TL”), SSIS, Informatica
  • Data Architecture
  • Data modeling
  • Prepare logical and physical data models
  • Participate in designs and reviews
  • Information Lifecycle Management (ILM)
  • Design and facilitate archiving strategy and approach
  • Environment  administration
  •  Security
  • Performance Tuning
  • Ongoing maintenance
  • Business Intelligence & Analytics
  • Participate in solutioning, design and development as needed
  • Semantic layer
  • Create business view which will facilitate self-service
  • Dashboards & Reports
  • Train power users to effectively leverage platform
