With direction from the Director of Design, the Design Manager is responsible for gaming property FFE, OSE, Signage, etc. including securing and/or creating estimates, budgets, schedules, contracts, job cost reporting, etc. Acting as the owner’s representative, the employee communicates directly with vendors, purchasing agents and consultants to make certain that project progress is maintained and that all issues relevant to project budget, quality and schedule are properly addressed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Interface with internal and external purchasing agents ensuring that project budget and schedules are maintained
  • Facilitate expediting of goods and services procured through purchasing agents
  • Create and maintain tracking logs using status reports from purchasing agents identifying any potential delays or impact to construction schedule for owner provided items
  • Oversee ID specification review and bidding process when specifications are issued ensuring SGA’s quality standards and budgets are maintained
  • Manage submittal process between purchasing agent and interior design firms including shop drawings, finish sample review and cutting
  • Ensure payment requisition logs and invoicing logs are submitted within established timetable as well as anticipate funding needs for purchasing agents


  • Must be able to excel in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and demands
  • Demonstrate extreme attention to detail
  • Schedule flexibility including some overnight and/or day travel in response to project needs
  • Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and budgets
  • Understanding of industry practices, systems, processes and activities

Education and/or Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in interior design, business, or related field is preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of project management experience with a minimum of 5 years of experience in gaming and/or hospitality industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required
  • Experience using Bluebeam or similar desired

The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, and depth perception along with the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
