Responsibilities:
- Ensure all payroll related activities, including payments and deductions, are processed accurately and timely
- Prepare, review and reconcile payroll information with various systems
- Serve as the subject matter expert and resource regarding payroll policies and procedures
- Investigate and resolve escalated and complex issues
- Identify best practices and implement process improvements to automate processes as well as reduce costs
- Coordinate communications with our payroll vendor’s customer service team for assigned area of responsibility
- Review and approve pay adjustments or pay adjustment documents
- Assist with acquisitions and new business implementation to ensure successful integration into payroll system
- Complete and prepare reports and communications as requested by management, as required by government agencies, or as deemed appropriate
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 3+ years of payroll experience
- Lead or supervisory experience preferred
License/Certificates:
- CPP preferred
