Position Summary:

This position is focused on identifying and understanding fraud activities, including patterns and techniques. The incumbent analyzes data to identify fraud patterns and how those patterns translate into opportunities for new products and product enhancements. Additionally, this job works with Sales, Account Executives, and Analytics teams to support their customer interactions. It also handles special projects that require in-depth analysis of data.

Essential Functions:

  • Define and deploy fraud detection and prevention tools and strategies
  • Analyze data to identify fraud activities and patterns
  • Apply results to improve current products and to develop new products
  • Work with customers to identify fraud patterns and develop proactive solutions to preventing fraud
  • Maintain open lines of  communication with customer’s fraud prevention teams
  • Develop new processes to automate fraud detection

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Minimum of four years of experience in a credit-related industry, with focus in risk management and/or fraud prevention
  • Strong understanding of credit, fraud and automated fraud detection/prevention techniques
  • Experience using analysis tools such as SAS, SQL, or Knowledge Studio
  • Strong communications skills, including the ability to present information to and interface well with customers, prospective clients, and employees
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills and the ability to set and manage multiple priorities/projects
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and independently with limited supervision
  • High level of PC skills in Excel, Access, and PowerPoint


  • BA or BS in quantitative or business field
