Detailed Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform inventory accounting and inventory reporting for key product lines
  • Responsible for timely and accurate month-end accounting close and associated tasks
  • Prepare monthly variance analysis reports
  • Ensure timely, accurate, quality preparation of the company’s monthly financial statements
  • Prepare account reconciliations and review general ledger account balances for compliance with GAAP, SOX, and internal controls
  • Monitor changes in the business and the accounting transactions for improved reporting and accuracy of financials
  • Work with Controllers and Tax departments for disclosure items
  • Respond to requests from internal and external auditors
  • Provide financial support to the business through teamwork with analysts to provide meaningful information and reporting of the business
  • Identify, communicate, and recommend solutions for accounting issues and problems
  • Seek opportunities to streamline and improve accounting transactions and work with the business to provide accounting and analytical support to meet internal customer needs

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of general accounting experience including inventory accounting
  • A thorough understanding and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid analytical and computer skills required
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel including use of Pivot Tables and V-lookups
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) a plus
  • Bilingual a plus
  • Raw/food industry experience a plus
