Human Resources Recruiting

At 4 Corner Resources, our HR searches end with one candidate: the person we’d hire onto our own team.

When you describe an HR role, we understand what it actually requires, from compliance depth to the discretion the work demands. We handle the sourcing, screening, and reference checks before a resume reaches you, and when we’re confident we have the right person, we send that one candidate and stand behind the recommendation.

Your Recruiting Challenges, Solved

HR is one of the harder functions to hire for, because the person you bring in touches everyone in the company. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects about 81,800 openings for HR specialists each year through 2034, with HR roles growing faster than the average job, so competition for strong candidates remains high. An HR hire is also hard to judge on paper. Compliance depth and the judgment to handle a sensitive employee issue rarely show up on a resume.

The cost of the wrong HR hire

An HR mishire is expensive in ways that outlast the person. Compliance gaps create legal exposure, a weak hiring process slows every other team’s growth, and the culture damage from the wrong person in a people-facing role can take years to undo. Getting it right the first time matters more here than in almost any other role.

What working with 4CR looks like

You spend less time sorting through applications that go nowhere and more time on candidates worth interviewing. You get a partner who has already done the evaluation, so the HR professional who reaches you understands the work and fits your culture. Most clients come back for their next opening because the first one went the way it should have.

Ultimately, It’s About Results

Submit to Hire Ratio

The industry standard is to submit 4 or more candidates per hire. We average 1.79, because the screening and qualifying happen before you ever see a name.

Interview to Hire Ratio

A 1.48 interview-to-hire ratio means your team spends interview time on people who’ve already cleared a rigorous screen. The evaluation happened on our end first.

Client Retention Rate

Nearly every company that brings us an HR search comes back for the next one. The placement worked, the candidate delivered, and there was no reason to look elsewhere.

Average Time to Fill

An HR search can take weeks when it starts from scratch. Our clients see qualified HR candidates in an average of 3 days, because our network is active and pre-screened before your role opens.

Client Satisfaction Score

A perfect 5.0 rating from ClearlyRated, nine years running. Awarded by real clients, surveyed independently.

Why Partner With 4CR

Recruiters who understand HR roles

We regularly recruit for HR roles, so our team knows the difference between a generalist who can manage an open enrollment and one who has only assisted with it. We screen for the judgment and discretion the work demands, and we hold every candidate to that standard before you see them. When you describe an HR role, we understand it the first time.

A pipeline that exists before you call

We keep an active, continuously screened network of HR professionals across every discipline, from talent acquisition and benefits to HRIS and leadership, so a new opening doesn’t start a search from zero. You see qualified candidates in days, not weeks.

A transparent process and no surprises

From the first conversation to the accepted offer, you know exactly where your search stands, what we’re seeing in the market, and what we’re doing about it. No black holes or chasing us for an update, ever.

One point of contact who owns the search

You work with one dedicated 4CR team member who owns your search from the intake call to the start date. They learn your team and your standards, they’re reachable when you need them, and your search never gets set aside for a bigger account.

A track record that holds up

We’ve been in this market for over 20 years and placed more than 16,750 professionals. Forbes, Business Insider, and Inc. 5000 have each named us among the best recruiting firms in the country. The number that matters most is simpler: nearly every client who works with us comes back.

Our Staffing Solutions

Direct hire

For a permanent HR hire your organization will rely on every day, direct hire is how you get it right the first time. We own the search from sourcing through the offer, screening every candidate for the compliance knowledge, judgment, and discretion the role demands, and present only the ones ready to step in.

Executive search

A CHRO or VP of HR sets the tone for how your whole organization handles its people, from culture and compliance to compensation strategy. The right person for that role is rarely on the job market. Executive search is how you reach them. We identify and approach senior HR leaders through direct outreach and confidential networking, and present only those who match both the role and your organization.

Contract staffing

HR workloads spike around open enrollment, a reorganization, an acquisition, or a leave, and the work can’t wait for a permanent search. Contract staffing puts a vetted HR professional in place on a defined timeline, with 4 Corner handling pay, benefits, and compliance so your team stays focused.

Contract-to-hire

In a role built on trust and judgment, fit is hard to confirm from an interview. Contract-to-hire lets you see how an HR professional handles real situations and works with your leaders before you commit. When you’re confident in the match, the move to permanent is simple.

For high-volume or ongoing HR hiring, ask us about recruitment process outsourcing (RPO), our most comprehensive solution.

How Our HR Recruiting Process Works

Placing the right HR professional starts with understanding your organization and its people well enough to know what a strong hire looks like in your environment, then holding every candidate to that standard before you see them. What follows is the process from the first call to the first day.

Schedule a 30-minute intake call

We start with a real conversation about the role, your team, your culture, and the specific people challenges the person will handle. The depth of this call is what separates a search that delivers the right person from one that delivers a stack of resumes.

What you can expect: A thorough discovery call covering the hard requirements, the culture the person will help shape, and the markers that define success in the role.

Build a position profile for the ideal candidate

Everything from the intake call becomes a detailed profile that defines the skills, experience, and fit markers every candidate is measured against for the rest of the search. The profile keeps us from sending you someone who’s close when the right person is still out there.

What you can expect: A clearly defined search target built before sourcing begins.

Source candidates from our HR network

Our recruiters work several tracks at once. We start with our pre-screened network of HR professionals, add targeted outreach to people who fit your role but aren’t actively looking, and use job boards to widen the pool. The combination lets us move faster than a search that starts from scratch.

What you can expect: A proactive search that reaches active and passive candidates alike, well beyond what a job posting would surface.

Screen and interview every candidate

Every candidate who advances gets a structured screen and a live interview with our recruiting team. We assess HR knowledge, judgment, discretion, and fit against the profile we built with you. By the time someone reaches you, the filtering is done.

What you can expect: Only the candidates who passed every check we set, so your interviews are about choosing rather than screening.

Verify with manager-level reference checks

Before any candidate reaches you, we speak directly with the managers who supervised them, confirming their track record, their reliability, and how they handled sensitive situations.

What you can expect: Verified, manager-level confirmation of every candidate’s background before you spend time on an interview.

Candidate delivery

We present the candidates who meet your criteria along with our honest read on each: strengths, fit, and the specific reasons we believe they’re right for the role. We coordinate interview logistics so nothing slows the search down.

What you can expect: Fully screened candidates who are seriously interested in the role and ready to contribute from day one.

Manage the offer and onboarding

Once you’ve chosen, we work with your team to structure the offer, handle any negotiation, and prepare your new hire for their first day. We stay involved through acceptance, paperwork, and the start date.

What you can expect: End-to-end support from the offer through onboarding, so nothing slips between a verbal yes and day one.

Check-ins & ongoing support

We stay in touch with you and your new hire after the start date, with check-ins at set intervals to confirm the placement is working.

What you can expect: A recruiting partner who stays engaged after the hire, because a placement only counts when it lasts.

FAQs

What HR roles do you fill?

We place across the full range of HR, from generalists, coordinators, and HRIS specialists to recruiters, benefits and compensation analysts, and senior leaders like HR directors and CHROs. If you don’t see your role in the list above, ask us. The list is a sample, not a limit.

What makes your HR recruiting different?

Our team recruits HR roles regularly and screens candidates for the judgment and discretion the work demands, looking past a matching resume to how someone actually handles the job. You get one qualified, fully vetted candidate per opening instead of a stack to sort through.

How quickly can you fill an HR role?

For most HR roles, you’ll see qualified candidates within a few business days, depending on the specifics of the role and your hiring process. Urgent contract needs can often move within 24 to 48 hours because our network is pre-screened before your role opens.

Can you handle confidential or senior HR searches?

Yes. Senior HR searches, like a CHRO or VP of HR, are often confidential, and we handle them discreetly through direct outreach and private networking so your search stays quiet until you’re ready.

Can you help with both temporary and permanent HR staffing?

Yes. We support contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire, so you can bring in short-term coverage for open enrollment or a reorganization, or hire a permanent member of your team, whichever the situation calls for.

What does it cost to use an HR staffing agency?

For direct hire, 4CR charges a percentage of the candidate’s first-year base salary. We offer two structures: traditional at 20%, paid at start with a 30-day replacement guarantee, or pay-as-you-go at 18%, billed in three installments over 90 days. Contract and contract-to-hire engagements are billed at an all-inclusive hourly rate covering the worker’s pay, taxes, benefits, workers’ comp, and our recruiting fee. No hidden costs, no volume commitment required.

What happens if a hire doesn’t work out?

Our traditional direct hire fee includes a 30-day replacement guarantee. If the placed candidate leaves or is released for performance reasons within the first 30 days, we run a replacement search at no additional cost. Pay-as-you-go works differently: you stop paying the remaining installments when the candidate leaves. Contract placements can be ended at any time and are billed only for hours worked.l.

Do we need to commit to multiple roles?

No. There’s no minimum. Many of our strongest HR client relationships started with a single search.
