Description:
Ensure continuity of production processes to minimize significant impact against production systems while meeting compliance requirements and service level agreements. Process daily, weekly, bi-monthly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annually and yearly file imports and exports.
Essential Functions:
- Creation of critical reports using Excel and various other tools
- Escalate and resolve errors as appropriate and ensure timely resolution
- Monitor, execute, and complete various vital manual operational processes
- Accountable for maintaining, monitoring, troubleshooting and escalating all automated Autosys scheduler jobs and MOVEit FTP transfer issues
- Handle various types of request from IT, internal business units, and external vendors
- Responsible for coordinating, reviewing and communicating the transition/turnover between shifts
- Coordinate with end users, other IT departments, and project teams in planning and executing the turnover of new jobs and changes to the production schedule
- Manage the scheduling, input/output controls, job setup, job execution, system monitoring, and problem resolution of production jobs on corporate data center Unix and/or Windows platform
- Drive improvements to existing production processes to improve reliability, scalability and security of the processes
- Act in liaison capacity with other areas and business units related to key initiatives, operational issues, and service requests
- Resolve or coordinate resolution of all errors prior to changes being made to the production environments
- Identify, diagnose, report, and provide resolutions to technical problems with production control software and production batch cycles
- Update and maintain documentation on production control processes and trains IT staff as required
- Required to be available to work on an on-call basis, weekends and off-hours during major upgrades or implementations
- Actively apply and advocate security and change management policies by identifying and addressing situations that are not in compliance
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education:
- Requires a High School diploma or its equivalent
Experience:
- Two plus years of experience in IT operations, production control or similar
Special Skills:
- Ability to understand and work closely with other departments, teams and employees
Technical Skills/Requirements:
- Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the HMO industry
- Requires strong knowledge of server and desktop processing systems that enables them to work at the highest level of all computer operations phases
- Effective analysis in reviewing current practices, identifying improved approaches, and proposing same
- Ability to develop and edit production control policies and procedures, as well as prepare audits and reports against the same
- SQL knowledge to execute queries in order to analyze and troubleshoot process issues is required
- Experience using automated job scheduling tools
