Our client is looking for a computer and tech-savvy Training and Development Specialist who will partner with all stakeholders to design, develop, and implement learning and development programs and initiatives that promote and support high performance culture.

Our ideal candidate has training and development experience along with health care knowledge related to practice management software and medical billing software, as well as customer service and internet-based platform software. You work with a highly engaged team and must bring creativity to grow and transform our internal and external onboarding experience. You will use strong communication and interpersonal skills to perform our training needs analysis and deliver measurable training solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert regarding our client’s and organization learning and development
  • Develop and deliver employee development curriculum and all related instructional materials incorporating adult learning principles and using various delivery methodologies (classroom/instructor led, e-learning, blended, synchronous, asynchronous)
  • Conduct training needs analysis and evaluate the effectiveness of current programs through focus groups, surveys, and program evaluations and implements changes and new curriculum as needed to support our software strategies and initiatives
  • Create and deliver department specific training that  build employees’ knowledge and skills on our client’s systems, processes, procedures, forms and policies
  • Consult with subject matter experts to identify learning needs and objectives, gather all relevant information and resources, and select appropriate learning methods
  • Create and implement internal and external training content
  • Provide group and one-on-one training on our client’s business processes, products and other programs as needed, including web-based training, distance learning, classroom instruction, and other methods as necessary
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of all training related presentations, course material/content, and course documentation
  • Support our internal and external online resource intranet with current policies and procedures
  • Conduct training needs analysis for custom training request and create training plans/materials to support training activities
  • Identify ways to streamline and improve customer support and implementation  to increase customer efficiency and retention
  • Drive continuous improvement by developing/maturing key processes, documentation, and tools
  • Maintain a working knowledge of each of the client’s features with regards to functionality, configuration, how it affects internal and external users
  • Support all internal/external training and development activities related to software releases
  • Assist with answering incoming calls from the training and/or support queues (when applicable); utilize SalesForce to manage customer interaction and inquiries and direct customers to appropriate departments within allotted time guidelines
  • Design, plan, organize or direct orientation and training programs for employees or customers

Mandatory Skills and Attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or 3-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience related to systems and/or processes, including content development, conducting training classes & presentations in person and via distance learning, and creating training curriculum & materials
  • Highly organized, with strong self-management and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time management, project management, verbal communication, written communication (minimum 50+ WPM) and organizational skills
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills in order to solve customer inquiries within a timely manner and excellent customer service skills – the ability to be empathetic, accurate, compassionate, responsive, resourceful, and conscientious
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office business applications (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment with the ability to work independently
  • Fast learner who has the ability to quickly and accurately learn new software and techniques
  • Organized, goal oriented, motivated self-starter who can work well in a team environment while displaying a positive attitude
  • Ability to speak in front of and facilitate in-person training sessions
  • Ability to collaborate with subject matter experts to create most effective training programs
  • Ability to take initiative to meet challenges with resourcefulness and new innovative approaches while maintaining a high level of quality

Desired Skills and Attributes:

  • Instructional Design degree or 3-5 years of experience in instructional design and training
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, Google Products, or Practice Management Softwares
  • Experience working with hands with developers through the entire product lifecycle from development, deployment, and support
  • Experience writing company policies and procedures
  • Comfortable working in a pay for performance based and structured environment while demonstrating high ethical standards
