  • Provide technical solutions to meet specific user needs
  • Elicit, analyze, validate and document business organizational and operational requirements
  • Translates high level business requirements into functional specifications for the organization and manages changes to such specifications
  • Communicates business direction to the IT organization
  • Lead Partner in negotiation agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between business units and the organization from initial requirements to final implementation
  • Minimum 6 years relevant experience

  • Lead contact for Business Requirements phase of multiple projects
  • Ability to actively participate in all phases of multiple projects
  • Ability to lead in the delivery and coordination all project documentation and define processes and procedures as they relate to the overall project objectives
  • Familiar with ITIL best practices for service design
  • This senior-level BA role will facilitate the definition of business and system requirements for various efforts within the TBM Tools team
  • This large-scale multi-year initiative includes product delivery and sustainment of the Clarity PPM tool that support multiple enterprise Lines of Business
  • The BA will develop new business processes, user stories, acceptance criteria as well as technical level requirements for multiple integration partners and vendors in conjunction with business partners
  • This includes working with them to define the user stories resulting in a clearer, more detailed and more complete understanding of project deliverables
  • They will help orchestrate backlog refinement, creating epics, and user stories (technical, functional, and reporting)
  • Guide multiple development teams and business teams to break down large and complex user stories into simplified versions for execution
  • In addition, this role will assist design, documentation and maintenance of system processes
  • Define, create documentation for new business processes
  • Follow/track and report on defects, identify and/or remove impediments
  • Communicate key insights and findings to project team
  • This role will also collaborate with multiple BAs and other technology teams ranging from transportation systems, labor systems, content repository, and engineering teams
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience managing requirements for a large multi-year initiative with stakeholders that span across multiple WDAT Technology towers as well as multiple businesses segments (WDAT, WDI, DTSS etc.)
  • Prior experience collaborating and eliciting requirements with vendors

Basic Qualifications:
  • Experience working for a large technology program or initiative with multiple teams across multiple environments ranging from Agile (SCRUM, KANBAN) to Iterative and Waterfall
  • Experience working in an Agile environment (SCRUM and KANBAN) including story mapping, story sizing, working in two week iterations
  • A true self-starter that can hit the ground running with little daily supervision
  • Confident in their approach and decisions in order to redirect consenting decisions into a common solution
  • Ability to navigate in a heavily matrixed organization
  • Strong collaboration skills and able to solicit requirements from multiple business stakeholders with various drivers
  • Participation in sprint planning, daily stand-up, etc.
  • In-depth knowledge and practical experience translating business process into use cases, process maps, data flows, and diagrams
  • Strong interpersonal skills including coaching, collaborating, and communication
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs with the ability to establish/maintain a high level of trust and confidence with internal and external project team members, stakeholders, and executive sponsors
  • Ability to agree on effective acceptance criteria in collaboration with product owner, project manager, and program manager
  • Supports product owner in maintaining product roadmap
  • Demonstrated experience in relevant tools: Clarity or other PPM tool, Microsoft Suite including Visio, ALM, Cloud based collaborations tools, Version One, etc.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with technical and non-technical resources including executives and vendors
  • Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining view of the big picture
  • Works effectively as part of a team or individually

  • Minimum of 8 to 10 years-experience in Business/Systems Analysis
  • Proven experience in eliciting business and technical requirements, and acceptance criteria for large technology implementations, programs and projects with multiple technology partners/teams and varying methodologies
  • Very strong business analysis skills with proven experience collaborating with business partners and documenting business processes
  • Proven experience eliciting requirements for complex technology projects with multiple system integrations
  • Experience working in an Agile environment including SCRUM and KANBAN (e.g. story mapping, story sizing, working in two week iterations or pull/push)
  • Knowledge of software testing procedures with the ability to validate and ensure traceability from requirements gathering through acceptance criteria
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing
  • Proven experience leading requirements gathering for projects with a large number of technology and business stakeholders
  • Proven experience documenting business processes, business rules and system diagrams
