Strategic Account Manager
Location: Remote | Alabama, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Mississippi (up to 60% travel)
Pay Rate: $150,000 total comp
Employment Type: Full-Time | Exempt
Introduction
The client is looking for a results-driven Strategic Account Manager to own and grow a portfolio of key accounts in the Pulp and Paper industry. You'll serve as the primary point of contact for Products & Services, acting as a trusted advisor while identifying new business opportunities and delivering solutions that drive growth on both sides of the relationship.
Responsibilities
- Own account plans and deliver on KPIs including orders, sales, profitability, win rate, and NPS
- Serve as the primary client contact for Products & Services across your account portfolio
- Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and service agreements
- Collaborate with internal technical and product teams to develop tailored client solutions
- Build and strengthen relationships from the C-suite to the plant floor
- Stay current on market trends, competitive offerings, and customer developments to differentiate the client's value
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Chemistry, or related field
- 5+ years of account management or sales experience
- Strong understanding of Pulp and Paper manufacturing processes and market dynamics
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel up to 60% across Alabama, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Mississippi
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

- Experience leading cross-functional or multi-disciplinary teams
- Background in value-based selling and strategic account planning
- Familiarity with industrial or manufacturing customer environments
