Sourcing Manager
Location: York, PA (Onsite)
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Pay Rate: Up to $112,000
Our client is a global leader in industrial technology with deep roots in hydro, energy, and power systems. They are bringing on a Sourcing Manager to lead supply chain activities across complex, custom-engineered projects. This is a full-time, direct hire role based in York, PA, reporting into the Director of Strategic Sourcing.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all supply chain activities for assigned projects from offer to order through order to completion
- Develop and execute project-specific sourcing strategies focused on cost, risk, and schedule
- Perform market analysis and negotiate with suppliers on both technical and commercial terms
- Review customer specifications and provide procurement-related input as needed
- Coordinate purchasing activities with global Material Group leadership
- Track, forecast, and report on project purchasing budgets during review meetings
- Execute purchases of materials and services in compliance with established policies
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with suppliers to drive quality improvement and cost reduction
- Support internal customers on key project requirements
- Contribute to special projects as assigned by leadership
Required Qualifications
- Experience in sourcing, supply chain, procurement, or project management within a relevant industry; the client will consider candidates ranging from junior/entry-level up to 5-8 years of experience depending on background and fit
- Background in EPC, construction, mining, aerospace, marine, government/DOD, gas, renewable energy, or low-volume manufacturing
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to work cross-functionally across global teams
- Proficiency in SAP ERP
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience managing or developing a sourcing team
- Hydro power or power systems industry experience
- Familiarity with Power BI
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of FAR/government purchasing compliance
