Position Responsibilities:
- Assist in troubleshooting of existing mechanical systems and responding to ride and show and entertainment related equipment operational issues including taking data measurements, performing engineering analysis and developing/implementing recommendations and solutions, supervising fabrication and installation efforts and performing acceptance testing
- Participate in peer design reviews to ensure codes, standards and design requirements of partner organizations are met
- Perform and/or direct a team in developing engineering design documentation including engineering analysis, assembly and detail, part fabrication drawings, system requirements, hazards analysis, vendor performance specifications, maintenance & inspection procedures and test plans
Required Qualifications:
- Proven Bachelor’s of Science or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering specializing in machine design or dynamic mechanical systems
- Proven five (5) plus years of direct experience in mechanical engineering and design of large conveyance systems, packaging systems, transportation systems or machine design
- Proven competency in utilizing design codes including AWS, ASTM, SAE and ASME standards
- Demonstrated experience in design, installation, testing support and plant engineering
- Demonstrated proficiency in SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD to complete engineering design documentation
- Demonstrated proficiency in analysis software such as MathCad, Simulation and FEA software
- Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated experience managing engineering tasks including schedule and budget management
- Demonstrated experience partnering across multiple disciplines and organizations and managing expectations of 5-10 stakeholders
Desired Qualifications:
- Proven, active, professional engineer
- Demonstrated manufacturing experience including welding, machine shop and assembly experience
- Demonstrated experience in engineering design involving fiberglass and other composite materials
- Demonstrated experience in Ride and Show Control Systems
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining technical proficiency through continuing technical education and training
- Demonstrated experience in working with international drafting and engineering standards
