Field Service Engineer II
4 Corner Resources is hiring a Field Service Technician to join a growing team that services industrial winder equipment nationwide. This is a hands-on, travel-based role for someone who wants to build deep technical expertise, work directly with customers, and grow into a long-term career in industrial field service.
Field Service Technician Responsibilities:
- Travel to customer paper mills and manufacturing sites nationwide to service and support industrial winder equipment
- Work directly with customers onsite to troubleshoot, maintain, and support their equipment
- Write detailed service reports during periods between onsite visits
- Build technical expertise in winder and converting equipment through hands-on work and mentorship from experienced team members
- Collaborate with a small, tight-knit service team plus a broader global network of technical resources
Field Service Technician Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent hands-on technical/mechanical experience
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 60% of the time, including week-long trips
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with complex industrial machinery
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working independently and building relationships with customers onsite
Field Service Technician Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the paper, converting, or tape production industries
- Prior experience with winder equipment
- Experience training or mentoring others
Field Service Technician Details:
- Location: Remote-based, nationwide, with reasonable access to a commercial airport
- Schedule: Travel-based; typical trips run Monday through Thursday or Friday, with some weeks fully onsite and others fully at home depending on customer needs
- Training: Newer technicians are paired with an experienced mentor and trained over time before working more independently
- Availability: Some weekend and holiday work required based on customer schedules.
- Pay Rate: starting at $48 per hour, based on experience.
