The Sr. Developer works within an Agile/Scrum software development team and is responsible for coding and delivering technology solutions that meet the needs of the business. The Sr. Developer must be able to work with Systems Analysts, Product Managers, QA Engineers and other Software Engineers to create, test, document, and deliver enterprise grade software solutions.

Essential Functions and Tasks:

  • Work with Systems Analysts and Product Managers to understand priorities and requirements for applications work
  • Create, document, and test software solutions that meet the acceptance criteria and quality standards for user stories
  • Perform unit testing of code; create, document, and execute unit testing, evaluate results against requirements, isolate and fix defects
  • Work with other engineers on software design and scalability
  • Contribute to product backlog user stories as needed to guide project deliverables
  • Participate in product planning and work estimation activities
  • Work with the team to demonstrate working software
  • Contribute to enterprise architecture and coding standards

Education and/or Experience:

  • B.S. Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Proven ability to work with both business and technical teams
  • Knowledge of software development best practices (standard naming conventions and architecture)
  • Experience working in enterprise level web applications and service-oriented architectures
  • Minimum of five to ten years of experience with software development, relational databases, and software development lifecycle processes

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: 

  • Certified Scrum Master preferred
  • Certified Scrum Professional preferred
  • Certified Scrum Developer preferred
