The Sales Account Manager¬†manages long-term, direct sales relationships with advertising and affiliate clients. This position markets and sells our client’s products and services to existing accounts to meet/exceed assigned quota. The ideal candidate has interest in regularly attending industry events such as AdTech and Affiliate Summit and has a desire to consistently meet/exceed quota in online advertising sales. Candidates must be results-driven, have strong analytical skills, and be committed to working with advertisers creating new advertising opportunities and maintaining/growing existing relationships.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Drive account optimization, including account and pricing strategy, by understanding key account metrics and member demographics and behavior to identify growth opportunities
  • Meet company sales quota for assigned accounts
  • Grow and manage long-term client relationships for long-term recurring revenues
  • Review email and onsite performance data to optimize inventory placements and revenue
  • Research and monitor competitor trends and technologies to translate into business recommendations for account growth
  • Partner with Business Development Sales Representatives to close, onboard, and grow new advertiser relationships and revenue
  • Participate in weekly sales strategy and sales review meetings with Sales Managers
  • Manage accounts in accordance with company standards and establish client processes and procedures

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Knowledge of online loyalty marketing or other forms of national online advertising
  • Strong attention to detail while managing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Analytical mindset
  • Ability to organize and interpret data and information to drive decisions
  • High proficiency in Excel
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to present data findings both verbal and written, in a clear and meaningful format
  • Ability to interface and learn from other Sales Managers, both internally and externally

Education, Experience & Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Economics, or Marketing preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience in sales analysis, ad operations, or media planning
  • Meet company sales quota for assigned accounts
  • Grow and manage long-term client relationships for long-term recurring revenues
