Job Description:

The Email Campaign Specialist works closely with the Email Marketing Manager to provide services to a broad range of clients in the deployment of their email campaigns. This role executes the process of email campaign deployment and is focused on subscriber segmentation, executing test sends, preparing the final subscriber list and scheduling the deployment within multiple email service providers, primarily Salesforce Marketing Cloud, MailChimp and the organization’s proprietary software. In addition, the Email Campaign Specialist will prepare documentation specific to client processes and work instructions, help to develop efficiencies in internal processes and work with the Email Marketing Manager to productize email services for business development efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Email Marketing Manager to manage, create and deploy campaigns on behalf of the organization’s clients by executing tasks related to audience segmentation, email scheduling and email sending
  • Manage subscriber data, import and segmentation within multiple email service providers, primarily Salesforce Marketing Cloud, MailChimp and the organization’s proprietary software, using a combination of tools and database queries as applicable
  • Schedule deployments within multiple email service providers primarily Salesforce Marketing Cloud, MailChimp and the organization’s proprietary software, and provide completion communications and KPI reports to the Email Marketing Manager and client teams
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews and other activities to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of email deployments
  • Monitor the campaign post-deployment to validate completion, assess deliverability, provide KPI reports, etc.
  • Conduct research and communicate resolutions for any deliverability issues to the Email Marketing Manager and client teams
  • Develop robust campaign and process documentation, including client specific work instructions, and help to develop efficiencies in internal production processes
  • Work closely with the Email Marketing Manager to productize email services for business development efforts

Requirements:

  • Experience with EMS platforms like ExactTarget and related systems
  • Experience with the retrieval and uploading of data files to/from multiple systems and environment
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of HTML / CSS fundamentals, with the ability to make recommendations on responsive design coding and conduct quality assurance testing as needed
  • Advanced AMPScript knowledge
  • Knowledge of SQL fundamentals or other database technologies
  • Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects and client deadlines with minimal oversight
  • Strong written, verbal communication and problem solving skills with an impeccable eye for detail
  • Advanced knowledge of email marketing best practices, Saleforce Marketing Cloud (formerly ExactTarget), MailChimp or related email software and related technologies
  • Agency experience working in client-facing role a plus
