Job Description:

The Manager of Direct Marketing Analytics is responsible for delivering campaign targeting, campaign analytics, and predictive modeling solutions that support the organization’s customer loyalty and initiatives. Provide expert technical direction and thought leadership to translate challenging and complex business problems into well-designed analytical projects. Utilize customer database tools and both internal and external analytical resources to manage projects to completion.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert technical direction and thought leadership to define problems, collect data, apply appropriate quantitative methods, and draw valid conclusions to support answering challenging business questions
  • Ensure the delivery of analytical solutions in the agreed upon time frames and budget following standard project management methodologies
  • Source qualified consultants and contractors when necessary to complete assigned project within desired time frames
  • Clearly present and communicate findings and recommendations
  • Stay abreast of emerging marketing applications and champion efforts to improve 1 to 1 marketing via technology and process improvements
  • Ability to work well with internal clients ranging from the highly analytical to creative visionaries
  • Independent self-starter who can consistently exhibit a bias for action rather than over-emphasis on attaining a perfect solution
  • Mentors partners in the marketing organization to develop their knowledge of customer analysis and available tools

Education and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing analytics using predictive modeling and big data skills to drive customer targeting and analysis
  • Experience using a campaign tool for the creation of campaign lists and analysis of campaigns is desirable
  • Master’s degree, in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or Business
  • Bachelor’s degree in one of these fields combined with significant experience in customer data analytics will also be considered
  • Experience using statistical software, such as SAS
