Position Summary:

Responsible for the overall coordination, status reporting and stability of our client’s project oriented work efforts. Establish and implement project management processes and methodologies for our client to ensure projects are delivered on time, are within budget, adhere to high quality standards, and meet customer expectations. Responsible for assembling our client’s project plans and teamwork assignments, coordinate and monitor work efforts on a daily basis, identify resource needs, perform quality review; and escalate timeline issues appropriately. Responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers. Coordinate communication with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, budget, risk, and resources of the work effort being managed. Assists our client’s manager(s) and/or delegates in identifying and prioritizing opportunities to utilize IT resources to achieve the goals of the enterprise.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create, manage, implement, and ensure stability of IT approved projects (includes, but is not limited to methods and processes for deploying technology resources)
  • Advise and work closely with the information technology service managerial staff on the coordination of information technology activities, projects and initiatives
  • Install, configure, and update project management related software
  • Responsible for timely reporting and status updates to stakeholders, IT management, and other invested parties
  • Responsible for documenting solutions to technology issues
  • Responsible for reading and following the department’s procedures and policies
  • Responsible for understanding and enforcing the department’s policies and procedures
  • Participate in team projects, meetings and assignments
  • Responsible for traveling to remote sites to coordinate IT related projects and/or to manage resources
  • As required, assist with annual inventory scanning and equipment surplus
  • Responsible for security compliance
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must possess advanced knowledge and proficiency in the use of project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices, and change management techniques
  • Must possess experience in change management and other project management components to fulfill the expectations of project scope and deliverables
  • Must have the ability to perform capacity and resource planning, assessing service level agreements compliance and contingency planning
  • Ability to manage one or more projects of medium to high complexity
  • Ability to coach one or more team members on project management related work functions
  • Ability to communicate technical information in a simplistic manner to customers including but not limited to new technologies, team projects and new equipment/applications
  • Manage the daily activities to resolve problems and change management issues
  • Skilled in preparing metrics to evaluate project performance, and work with IT groups and users to ensure the scope objectives are met
  • Skilled in the planning, forecasting, implementation, and identification of requirements for end users and technology customers
  • Customer-driven, detail-oriented, and is an effective time manager
  • Good verbal, written, and organizational skills
  • Problem solver, team player, and self-motivated
  • Must be able to travel


  • Associate degree or technical institute degree
  • Certificate in Computer Science, Information Systems, Project Management Professional (PMP) or related fields preferred
  • May consider equivalent work experience


  • 3 to 5 years, including 1 or more years managing projects


  • Work independently or on a team
