Position Summary:

  • Manages projects that are considered small to medium-sized and moderately complex projects
  • Develops and maintains a productive working relationship with internal sponsors, development, QA and key stakeholders
  • BA responsibilities include gathering, vetting, managing and communicating requirements that will be used to deliver value to internal and external groups

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for thoroughly understanding and communicating stakeholder requirements to appropriate groups, and manage all requirements
  • Responsible for user stories (creation & grooming)
  • Organize and facilitate project planning, daily stand up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other Scrum related meetings
  • Find and work to remove development and project roadblocks; protect the team from outside distractions
  • Provide direction and support to project team related to requirement knowledge
  • Coordinate and facilitate delivery of project objectives
  • Assess project issues and identify solutions to meet productivity, quality and customer goals
  • Responsible for requirement elicitation, requirement analysis (includes creating supporting documentation), requirement communication (verbal and written) and solution assessment
  • Create business requirement documents, supporting diagrams and use cases as needed
  • Gather information from sponsors and subject matter experts then analyze the information to create streamlined solutions, recommendations and risk assessments

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience as a business analyst/project manager
  • Experience managing projects and gathering requirements
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong technical aptitude, analysis skills and problem solving skills
  • Ability to truly thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably with emphasis on Computer Science or related field; or equivalent, relevant work experience
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills with an ability to lead productive group meetings
  • Understanding of software engineering and web development would be a plus
  • Working scrum knowledge and experience
  • Healthcare experience would also be a plus
  • Working experience with Microsoft’s Team Foundation Server would be a plus
