Job Summary:
- Leads small technical groups in the analysis, design, programming, testing, and documentation of software systems and applications
- Assists with defining and maintaining development standards and software development best practices
- Will participate in and contribute to technical feasibility studies, business cases, proposals, and 3rd party assessments
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Acts as team lead of small groups to provide business and technical expertise in requirements solicitation, system analysis, technical design, programming and documentation of information systems
- Provides leadership and facilitation in the definition and development of the technical solution concept, including vision, scope, and system architecture
- Prepares detailed functional specifications, design models, and system workflows from which software applications will be developed and implemented
- Supports, troubleshoots, and maintains production systems as required, optimizing performance, resolving problems, and providing timely follow-up on identified issues
- Defines and maintains the client’s Information Systems (IS) development standards and best practices
Additional Position Responsibilities:
- After hours work and on-call availability may be required to support deployments or upgrades to production systems to avoid system downtime during business hours
- Infrequent travel (less than 10%) may be required to support off-site deployments and configuration, system administration, and professional training
Education:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in in computer science or equivalent required
Work Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in in the development, implementation, and maintenance of large-scale online transactional processing (OLTP) and decision support systems (DSS) in a client-server environment
- 2+ years of experience in Healthcare
- 2+ years of experience in VB.Net
- 2+ years of experience in ASP.Net
- 3+ years of experience in database design, development, and normalization using the Oracle database management system (DBMS)
- 2+ years of experience in using the Unified Modeling Language (UML)
- Required—2+ years of experience in XML. including XSL/T. XSD. and XDR
- 1+ year of experience in BizTalk required
