Position Overview:

Working with business units and other stakeholders, analyze enterprise projects and other business initiatives to determine the most efficient and effective way to implement the project or initiative using available resources and minimizing costs. Act as a liaison between the business user groups and the technical systems groups during the initial phase of project/initiative creation.  Perform testing to ensure quality of application and project deliverables. Assist in the development of training materials.

Responsibilities: 

  • Perform and coordinate the analysis and design of business systems
  • Work closely with business units and other system groups to define and compile the system and functional requirements of the initiative or project
  • Develop requirements using interviews, analysis, and documentation
  • Create clear and concise business requirements
  • Develop a full understanding of the needs of the business unit
  • Help business units thoroughly analyze assumptions regarding successful implementation of plans
  • Outline all system and functional requirements through use of a Visio diagram
  • Use Visio diagram to help business unit and technical systems groups determine next steps
  • Act as a liaison between the business user groups and the technical systems groups during the initial phase of project/initiative creation
  • Ensure that all product and application deliverables are fully tested and business units have approved prior to public use to ensure a “zero-defect’ policy for all assigned projects
  • Document all testing and analyze results
  • Consult with Training department in the development of training materials and/or courses needed for new processes or initiatives
  • Verify that all modifications and new features have been communicated to staff
  • Review issue tickets and determine solutions or proper escalation, as necessary
  • Maintain an extensive knowledge of existing APIs with any and all desktop software used within the credit union
  • Responsible for maintaining knowledge and understanding of current trends, laws, and issues affecting area of expertise
  • Attend conferences, courses, seminars, workshops, and meetings that will increase professional knowledge and be otherwise beneficial to the credit union. This includes, but is not limited to, completing annual BSA/AML Compliance Training and understanding employee’s role in maintaining an effective BSA/AML compliance program, and completing FACT Act Red Flag training.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business or information technology related field (a comparable combination of work experience and training may be substituted for education requirements)
  • 6-7 years of progressively responsible experience in business process analysis or project management, preferably with a financial institution
  • Previous experience managing and leading teams desired
  • Able to prioritize tasks, deal effectively with competing and changing priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Accurate, detail-oriented, and organized
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of credit union products, services, policies, and procedures
  • Good knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance necessary to successfully perform job responsibilities
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of all credit union computer systems and software programs required to perform job duties
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills in order to interact professionally and effectively with staff and vendors
  • Must exercise sound judgment and independent discretion in all areas of responsibility outlined above
  • Must possess excellent problem solving skills
  • Must be able to work under minimal supervision and maintain a high level of confidentiality
