Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead multiple cross-functional teams in the delivery of complex enterprise projects
- Provide oversight and leadership to ensure that projects are completed on time, in budget, in scope and that the project objectives and ROI are met
- Work independently on large-scale and complex enterprise projects
- May lead multiple projects
- Responsible for all phases of project management
- Ensure detailed project plans are created and used to manage milestones and dependencies
- Provide frequent and effective communication to the project team and executive leadership
- Work with the team to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Anticipate risks and work with the team to create mitigation plans
- Escalate significant/blocking issues and risks to leadership when appropriate
- Manage the project budget and actively work to resolve gaps
- Work with project team and leadership to remove barriers to success
- Responsible for leading cross-functional teams through all phases of the project lifecycle to achieve project objectives
- Encourage collaboration and ensure that all viewpoints are represented and explored
- Build effective working relationships while holding team members accountable
- Work to become a valued business partner with leadership
- When assigned a BPI project lead business partners through BPI methodology
- Work with team to review current process map, create future process map, analyze impact to other processes, identify new stakeholders and define new process metrics as needed
- Maintain current knowledge of industry best practices and introduce them into future process maps
- Ensure projects are managed according to departmental standards
- Educate project teams on these standards and work with ePMO leadership to constantly improve processes and deliverables
- Coach other ePMO team members on the project team
- Responsible for helping to build a sustainable and scalable ePMO team
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field-required
- A Master’s degree in a related field-preferred
- Work experience
- 7+ years of experience in project management-required
- Other healthcare or managed care experience-preferred
- Other business process improvement experience-preferred
Licenses and Certifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP)-preferred
- Six Sigma Black Belt Certification-preferred
- Lean Certification-preferred
