Description:
The Data Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, installing, and testing robust, scalable extract-test-load (ETL) processes specifically for Strategy & Analytics.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Research opportunities for data acquisition and new uses for existing data
- Recommend ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality for analytics products and services
- Sources data elements needed for reports and (statistics, econometric, and machine learning) models from across the enterprise
- Works to consolidate data sourced from various systems into the business intelligence dimensional model with automation as needed
- Ensures lifecycle systems for business data meets business objectives and industry best practices
- Integrate new data management technologies and software engineering tools into existing structures
- Employ a variety of languages and tools (e.g. scripting languages) to marry systems together
- Create custom software components (e.g. specialized UDFs) and analytics applications
- Collaborate with data architects, modelers and IT team members on project goals
Education/Experience:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in business, process, and operations initiatives

- Call center experience a plus
- Experience with MS SQL Server 2012 or later
- Experience with MS office suite including Access, Excel, Project, Visio, HTML a plus
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
