Description:

The Network Administrator is the PC/network technical administrator for all the client’s offices. They are responsible for all PC and network functions, hardware, software and support. The person needs to be reliable (responsibilities, tardiness, etc.) and have a good work ethic. They need to be able to cooperate with co-workers and clients and they also should be able to listen, understand and follow instructions.

Responsibilities:

  • Designs, specifies, configures, installs, and maintains local area network hardware, software, and telecommunications services such as personal computers, system software, software applications, printers, copiers, servers, routers, switches, cabling, phone systems and wide area network connectivity
  • Administer Windows-based environments, working with enterprise database systems, implementing and troubleshooting desktop computer applications, and providing technical support to non-technical individuals on the use of software applications
  • Maintain and Troubleshoot a SQL based ERP system (Deltek Vision)
  • Oversee tools to monitor network health and security; generates alerts and reports; evaluates, maintains, and implements networking technologies as needed
  • Experience with desktop imaging, inventory, and reporting tools
  • Responsible for maintaining Windows 2003 and 2008 environments as well as MS Exchange 2007 in both physical and virtual data center (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other core services)
  • Maintains inventory control over IT assets
  • Installs and configures new hardware as required
  • Performs software installations and backups
  • Sets up and manages all company email accounts
  • Experience with administration and troubleshooting of a Mitel based phone system in a VoIP in an inter-office environment
  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Experience working in a fast-paced support environment
  • Experience using ticketing tool to react to failures, requests and escalations

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university
  • Three to five years related experience and/or training with Local Area Network administration, implementation and technology evaluation

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public

Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
