Roles and Responsibilities:
- Act as the system administrator for various business applications and office software packages
- Ensure issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner
- Analyze software issues, coordinate and implement corrective actions involving user interaction with various software applications
- Perform post-implementation reviews to ensure system compliance with established performance specifications
- Manage and organize unit, system and acceptance testing
- Support and maintain system and data integrity for the applications they administer, i.e. – create new case types, manage/update control tables, determine and implement appropriate business rules and perform related administrative functions
- Provide frontline support to software end-users
- Serve as liaison between everyday users and the IT Dept
- Assist to establish and maintain software policies and procedures for the department(s)
- Participate in joint application design sessions with ITD and vendors
- Identify strengths and weaknesses of department’s information technology and business processes and suggest strategies to improve
- Work with department personnel to identify and records required changes
- Design prototype for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations and information process flow
- Translate technical information into non-technical terms to achieve quality and maintain efficiency
- Examine and evaluate purpose and context of reports to develop new or improve upon existing format and use
