Description:

This position will be responsible for planning, software architecture, software design, execution, and cohesiveness of online assets. The person will through cross-functional coordination with Product leads, Engineering, Marketing, Customer Care, Operations, and Finance, and ensure adherence to an overall strategy for digital assets. This person will lead online execution through creative design and content teams working with partners. This person will also participate in the overall development of an online strategy with management, other business groups, and peers.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee software development and cohesiveness of online assets for video consumption, news sites, account management, and more
  • Deliver on key projects including new apps, improved online buying experience, single sign on, additional business self-service and more as assigned
  • Interact with key partners for mail, news, weather, video and other assets to define and develop and deliver a best in class customer experience
  • Partner with Product leads, Engineering, Commercial Services, Marketing, Customer Care, Operations, and Finance to deliver applications and online experiences as needed while driving to an overall online strategy
  • Manage a team of engineers to define and execute on a best in class online asset with innovative and necessary tools
  • Share and develop creative solutions with internal stakeholders across the company that deliver business value as measured by cost/benefit, timeliness to market and quality
  • Drive a best in class experience through technical skills, leadership, and consensus building
  • Develop and execute processes for review and management with proper approvals from and partnership with customers throughout the company
  • Support take-to-market activities in conjunction with product, marketing and care teams by leading and tracking launch efforts to ensure successful launch
  • Provide service bureau support for software design, deployment and tracking needs of digital advertising and marketing automation
  • Develop metrics for online usage in partnership with others across the business
  • Use metrics to continually improve the digital experience
  • Focus on enhancing customer usability and usage of Internet-based applications by measuring, analyzing, and improving the digital consumer experience with new and existing applications
  • Perform code reviews to mentor developer approaches, techniques and styles
  • Skilled in evaluating complex technical problems to make sound decisions forward related to business, code and architectural goals
  • Support the implementation of development best practices, including continuous integration, continuous delivery, and DevOps principles, in order to deliver stable, scalable, and robust solutions

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Effective skills at influencing and driving organizational change
  • Experience in web and mobile development technologies including but not limited to JAVA, .Net, PHP, Xamarin, SQL, MYSQL, as well as JavaScript, CSS and HTML is preferred
  • Familiarity with web content management platforms, such as Adobe Experience Manager, HP TeamSite, or Drupal
  • Exposure to one or more web analytics platforms
  • Knowledge of Cable/Telecommunications experience
  • Excellent communication skills, which include active listening and the ability to present complex ideas in concise written and verbal descriptions which are easily understood by both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proven professional experience in digital and online management
  • Hands-on and development experience as well as business management of online assets
  • Experience with account management, online usage, and customer experience
