Summary:
Act as primary desktop support for all employees. Provide direct desktop hardware and peripheral support for all end users. Support and maintain standards of company software. This role has a high customer service focus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide direct desktop hardware and peripheral support for employees
- Troubleshoot and problem solve desktop issues as they arise
- Administer, monitor, and maintain desktop deployment infrastructure
- Set up all IT equipment for new employees
- Ensure that employees are oriented to system
- Create building access cards when requested
- Seek process improvements to improve efficiency of desktop installations and services and ensure applicable documentation is created or revised as necessary
- Track and maintain hardware and software inventory
- Represent the interests of the customer internally, providing appropriate escalation to other functions when issues cannot be resolved
- Adhere to processes and procedures to ensure a stable computing environment (i.e., change control, incident management, problem management, etc.)
- Assist the Director, Information Services with special projects as assigned
Technical Skills:
- Experience with Microsoft operating systems
- MCSE preferred certification
- Experience with Active Directory and GPOs/GPPs
- Experience with Bit Locker and/or other desktop/laptop encryption
- Strong imagine and application packaging skills
