Job Description:

The Systems Administrator will have responsibility for providing day-to-day technical support for projects network infrastructure

  • Installation, configuration, troubleshooting and repair of servers and SAN storage
  • Ability to communicate highly technical information to both technical and nontechnical personnel

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Configure and Monitor HP Servers & 3 PAR SAN storage, Update firmware
  • Configure and Monitor Dell Servers & SAN Storage, Update firmware
  • Assists in WSUS weekly patching updates
  • Perform daily system maintenance; such as systems log, antivirus server logs, daily backups, etc.
  • Responsible for AD user management as required for both internal and remote users
  • Responsible for installation and configuration of new systems; software version tracking; inventory tracking
  • Evaluates interface between users, hardware and software, and operational and performance requirements of overall desktop system
  • Responsible for effective provisioning, configuration, operation, and maintenance of Windows server operation systems and the related infrastructure
  • Responsible for reviewing and modifying hardware and software to insure security, increase performance and meet technical design requirements with a strong emphasis on customer service, both internal and external
  • Provides technical support, troubleshooting and repair for advanced solutions
  • Participates in technical research to enable continuing innovation within the environment
  • Other projects as assigned

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years’ experience in Systems Administration, Engineering and Architecture
  • Software knowledge and experience with Windows Server 2012 / 2016, Active Directory, WSUS Patch Management, Hyper-V, Veeam Backup and Replication, Symantec Anti-Virus, Solar Winds and Networking Fundamentals
  • Hardware experience and knowledge with HP, 3Par Storage, Dell Storage

Education Desired:

  • Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school with a minimum of 5 years’ proven experience
  • Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar technical related field desired
