Description/Comment:
- Responsible for the investigation, management, and disposition of Florida workers’ compensation claims for the client and affiliated companies
Required Qualifications:
- High school degree or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years claims handling experience
- Workers’ Compensation 524 license in good standing
- Demonstrated familiarity with automated claims administration and management systems
- Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated strong partnering skills
- Demonstrated strong analytical skills
- Demonstrated strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to professionally handle confidential information
- Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated understanding of medical and legal terminology
- Demonstrated ability to handle litigated claims; including experience in depositions, hearing testimony, mediation, and comprehensive case evaluation
- Computer proficiency within a Windows environment; including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proven ability to deliver effective presentations to various levels of leaders, including executive
- Proven ability to deliver concise but informative written summaries in memo and presentation format, with appropriate usage and professional grammar
- Proven ability to communicate and work with all levels of Employees
- Proven ability to maintain high standards of integrity
Desired Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Business, Risk Management or related field
- Proven Third Party Administrator or Employer Self-Administered workers’ compensation claims handling
- All Lines 520 License in Good Standing
- Demonstrated knowledge and familiarity with SAP HR modules
- Demonstrated knowledge and familiarity with Business Objects or related reporting software
- Completion of the Florida Board Certification program
Basic Qualifications:
- Workers’ Compensation 524 license in good standing with a minimum of 3 years claims handling experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven bilingual ability and 3-5 years adjusting Florida Workers’ Compensation claims
