Description:

Our client is looking for a Human Resources Assistant to provide administrative support to the Human Resources department primarily in the areas of onboarding, non-physician credentialing, and HRIS. Previous HR experience desired but not required.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have computer experience in Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience with scanning software, Applicant Tracking Systems, and HRIS preferred
  • Must have excellent organizational skills with high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Must exhibit professionalism, confidentiality and interpersonal skills with emphasis on customer service
  • Ability to work as a team player and independently as needed

Responsibilities: 

  • Perform background and reference checks for potential new hires and interns
  • Process all hires, re-hires and transfers, including gathering required documentation, scheduling for orientation, performing file audits/reviews, coordinating start dates, and HRIS data entry
  • Process other employee information changes as needed, including but not limited to terminations, transfers, promotions, performance reviews, and benefits information
  • Respond to inquiries concerning open positions
  • Serve as “help desk” for hiring managers using our applicant tracking system
  • Maintain new hire orientation (Welcome Week) roster
  • Responsible for new hires reporting to the state of Florida
  • Complete employment verifications for current/past employees as requested
  • Responsible for physician credentialing
  • Collect information for employment and/or driving eligibility for current employees and document information in HRIS as needed
  • Perform background screening and motor vehicle reporting on current employees as needed
  • Assist with other HR Department events and projects as needed
  • Assist HR Generalist, HR Director and/or VP Operations and Human Resources with special projects
  • Other duties as assigned
