Description:

The Compensation Administrator reports to the Senior Compensation Analyst and is primarily responsible for providing administrative support to the Field Compensation department.  Additionally, the Compensation Administrator calculates source-to-gross pay not performed systematically by the PeopleSoft Store Compensation System.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to inquiries from store associates relating to compensation and Human Resources data issues, such as incorrect job codes and pay rates
  • Assist with data validation for store associate job records – run queries, identify and correct erroneous data
  • Calculate and provide final pay information to District Managers for store associates in states requiring an immediate pay out upon termination
  • Provide store associate average pay rates for emergency and suspension pay calculations
  • Calculate vacation pay outs for terminated store associates and forward to payroll for processing
  • Recalculate Part-Time Sales Lead vacation earnings not calculated properly by the system
  • Calculate Canadian overtime, sick, vacation, and holiday pay
  • Upload files to the payroll system for processing
  • Recalculate wages for retroactive changes/corrections greater than six weeks in the past and upload files to the payroll system for processing
  • Assist Senior and Compensation Analysts with administrative tasks relative to processing Store and Assistant Manager bonuses and clarifying SHREDI transactions with District Managers
Experience and Qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business or other related field preferred or its equivalent in experience
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • 1-2 years of Payroll experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills – both written and oral
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficient use of PeopleSoft HRMS 9.2 preferred
  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Physical Environment
    • Primary responsibilities require sitting, operating and viewing a computer and other business equipment for up to 12 hours.

    • The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
    • Local travel is required.
