Detailed Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform inventory accounting and inventory reporting for key product lines
- Responsible for timely and accurate month-end accounting close and associated tasks
- Prepare monthly variance analysis reports
- Ensure timely, accurate, quality preparation of the company’s monthly financial statements
- Prepare account reconciliations and review general ledger account balances for compliance with GAAP, SOX, and internal controls
- Monitor changes in the business and the accounting transactions for improved reporting and accuracy of financials
- Work with Controllers and Tax departments for disclosure items
- Respond to requests from internal and external auditors
- Provide financial support to the business through teamwork with analysts to provide meaningful information and reporting of the business
- Identify, communicate, and recommend solutions for accounting issues and problems
- Seek opportunities to streamline and improve accounting transactions and work with the business to provide accounting and analytical support to meet internal customer needs
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 3-5 years of general accounting experience including inventory accounting
- A thorough understanding and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Solid analytical and computer skills required
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel including use of Pivot Tables and V-lookups
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) a plus
- Bilingual a plus
- Raw/food industry experience a plus
