Summary:

  • Responsible for providing business and financial decision support by analyzing and reporting on key performance measures to management
  • Provide analysis, pro-forma, and support for strategic initiatives and capital projects
  • High visibility with the team’s senior management team and will be able to make an immediate impact by providing key insights into financial performance of the division and analyzing opportunities to drive growth.
  • Requires the individual to work independently as well as part of the overall team, with a high level of initiative and motivation to ensure that deliverables are met
  • Major responsibilities will include data mining and analysis to supply value-added information to optimize processes and track trends by using various reporting and analytical tools
  • Will help to further develop the framework for evaluating and measuring operational and strategic performance and highlight areas of focus and opportunity

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provide and present intuitive and insightful information to management to understand current performance and assist in crafting future strategy and plans
  • Work with project owners to develop ROI, NPV and IRR analyses for all capital projects and strategic initiatives
  • Prepare reports and analysis to measure performance of all strategic initiatives and new programs to measure and track their performance
  • Responsible for extracting, compiling, analyzing, interpreting and reporting data
  • Work closely with the IT team to understand sources of data and help with the creation of new reports or revision of current reports
  • Develop analytical frameworks appropriate to support business decisions including driver-based costing, regression, statistical analysis and simulation
  • Engage with time-driven activity-based costing system to analyze data and create reports for upper level management to help drive the business to further profitability
  • Perform industry and economic analysis including competitive analysis
  • Perform complex analytical studies of various components and financial drivers
  • Provide analytical support to field management
  • Various ad hoc and special projects as required
  • Develop product/channel profitability analysis
  • Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • MBA preferred
  • Minimum four (4) years of experience as a Financial Analyst, Business Analyst, or a similar function in a corporate environment is required
  • Extensive experience performing detailed analysis with large data sets
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with internal business clients
  • Highly advanced level in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, macros, lookups and goal seek) and ability to extract, compile, analyze and interpret data
  • Access or other database experience creating and maintaining tables and queries
  • Experience with Hyperion and Tableau desired
  • Balance sheet and cash flow experience desired
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Team-oriented, self-motivated with ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work on assigned tasks and assignments with little supervision and meet all deadlines
  • Innovative and motivated individual interested in developing new financial models and data analysis
