Description:
- Provide technical support and detail drafting services for design of mechanical and civil utility distribution systems
- This will be accomplished by utilizing drawings from other disciplines, product data, sketches, and making site visits
- Follow department standards for document control
- This includes the development and maintenance of templates and standard details
- Perform quality control checks on all of their own work and the work of their peers
- Communicate with all levels of management and customers and work well with all disciplines to build, test, install and commission new mechanical and civil infrastructure
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in engineering or technology
- Minimum 8-10 years designing experience
- Proven knowledge of International Mechanical Code, International Plumbing Code, ASME, DIPRA standards
- Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD Utility Design Suite & Map/Civil 3D (latest version); minimum of two (2) years experience
- Proven proficiency in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 – 7 years experience designing mechanical utility distribution systems (natural gas/chilled and hot water systems, piping, etc.)
- Minimum 2 years experience working with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD 2017 and Civil 3D; minimum of two (2) years experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in developing correct form, fit and function of designs
- Demonstrated proficiency in mechanical piping, plumbing, civil (ductile iron piping) plan, profile, and P&ID development
- Demonstrated proficiency in design and detail of components and assemblies and make supporting analysis
Preferred Education:
- Associate’s/Bachelor’s in engineering or technology
